The concept I would like to see is for the iPod NOT be “sticking out” in full view per se, but tucked into that little slot that used to be the OE clock, totally out of sight, with just enough of the top revealed/protruding out of that little slot so you can easily grab it when you get out of the car without having to lean over the center console to open the glove box, fumble for the iPod and unplug it amongst the various maps, vehic registration, insurance, etc. Ideally, I’d like to have the old clock location become a true iPod dock, i.e. no cables to disconnect, just slip the iPod into the slot and it docks. Clean, and tidy with easy access. Honestly, because I have skin over my iPod video, that probably wont happen in my application, but the using that clock locations for the iPod home is still something I want to pursue.
